S.E.C.T.D.S hold two Junior Handling Association classes for juniors between the ages of 6 - 16 years, that qualify for the Semi-finals, held at Richmond Championship Show.
In addition, the Society schedules three Young Kennel Club Handling classes for juniors between the ages of 6 - 24 years, that qualify for Crufts.
Obedience:- Do you do 'obedience' with your 'Toy' dog?
Ever wanted to compete without the Collies and G.S.D's?
South Eastern Counties Toy Dog Society has been scheduling 'obedience classes', just for Toy Group dogs, since the early 1960's.
The Society's Limited Obedience Show is held with the Open Breed show, and testing for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bronze Level. The obedience classes range from Pre-Beginners through to Test 'B'.
As long as you enjoy doing things together, no matter what your level or standard, come and enjoy a good day. Crossbreed dogs, with TWO TOY Group parents, are very welcome.
In it's time, the S.E.C.T.D.S. display team appeared at Crufts, Discover Dogs, Birmingham National Championship Show, more than once, and formed part of the entertainment, which included the famous Mary Ray, at Rabart's Christmas Dog Bazaar, in November, 2001, proving 'Toy' dogs more than capable. Team dogs have included the following breeds:-
Affenpinscher, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Italian Greyhound, Papillons, Pekingese and Bichon Frise, and the handlers were not all adults.
Whatever your interest, Breed, Obedience or Kennel Club Good Citizen, come and join us, you are assured of a warm welcome.
